Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical technique for unblocking chi by
inserting needles in specific spots on the body in order to balance the yin and
yang.
Chi is the energy that is believed to be in all things. It is also
believed that it flows through the body along 14 main meridians. If your
yin and yang are in harmony, the chi is able to flow freely throughout the body
and you will be healthy. If you are sick, injured or have a disease, the
chi is obstructed and must be repaired through the use of acupuncture.
There are 500 points on the body where needles may be inserted to relief what
ails you.
Studies as the usefulness of acupuncture have been mixed, but its use in the
Untied States has been growing. There have been good results in patients
following surgery and chemotherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting.
