Men's Health
Men must take care of themselves and pay attention to what is
happening with their bodies. Men are living longer than in the
past and the gap between men and women's life span is narrowing, but men
simply don't go to the doctor like they should. Men often believe that
they are what they do and not who they are. This adds stress and
pressure to succeed. Many health risks can be avoid by early
detection. Colon cancer and heart disease can be treated early and
remedied with an early diagnosis. And, the old adage of "you are what
you eat" is just as pertinent today as it was 40 years ago. Men
need to eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day and
eat less saturated fat to reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic
diseases. Obesity is running rampant and seems to be getting worse.
Extra weight increase the risk of serious diseases such as diabetes,
heart disease, and high blood pressure. Regular exercise can
reduce the risks and get you in shape for a long and healthy life. |
