Pregnancyexercise during pregnancy

Pregnancy is a miracle of life.  Two little cells join, grow and evolve into a new human being.

When you become pregnant, you will get signs that let you know it is a possibility.

Hormones that are released when you are pregnant send you running to the bathroom much more often.  The embryo secretes the HCG hormone which helps increase the blood supply in the pelvic region.  The bladder will need to be emptied more often, but may not have much in it.

Morning sickness is the most common sign.  Nausea and vomiting can happen anytime, but low blood sugar in the morning along with the hormones which can irritate the stomach may be the reason it seems more prevalent in the morning.

Hormones are released into your body that begin to prepare it for breastfeeding.  This begins almost immediately.  Increased blood to the breasts make them feel firmer and they may be tender.  The nipples sometimes tingle.  The size will increase as the pregnancy continues and you may increase a cup size just during the first trimester.  Warning:  your partner may like this!

Progesterone is another hormone that begins being released after conception.  Progesterone is the cause of the fatigue and sleepiness you may feel.  Your metabolism speeds up at the same time to help the embryo grow making you feel tired too.  Naps are good for you during this period.
